Temperatures have dropped again after above average winter temperatures, we're at 2 degrees below freezing right now and it's forecast to get colder as the week progresses, with them picking up again on Friday.
Night time lows of -6 where I am, which in Fahrenheit google tells me is 21 degrees.
Today is weird, it's not that cold when it's still or you are sheltered from the wind, but when that wind hits it's bitterly cold. Must be coming from the north, straight in from the Arctic Circle.
I'm planning on going for a run in an hour or so and it's hard to know what to wear. I could go shorts and t-shirt but then I'll freeze when the wind hits, but if I wear a long-sleeved top or sports hoodie, I'm likely to be fine when the wind blows but too hot when it's still.
Here in the Northeastern USA we're caught in high-pressure while the West Coast, 3000 miles away is getting soaked by moisture. Its clear, so by night our temperature is still dropping like a rock. But its warming up nicely in the afternoon on these short winter days.
