Figure I’ll weigh in here. I am pretty active for 35 y/o. I have a pretty regular workout schedule.
M: 1 hour of jiu jitsu. 1 hour of yoga if I can’t make it to jiu jitsu class. Will also try to go on a walk to get a foreign language lesson in.
T: approx 70 min upper body weights plus another 10 min on stair climber if I have time.
W: Same as M, except sometimes I go to a wrestling class instead of jiu jitsu.
Th: approx 70 min lower body weights plus another 10 min on stair climber if I have time.
F: Same as M.
Sat: Same as T, will sometimes grind out a little longer since it is the weekend and I have more time.
Sun: Sometimes same as Th, but more often than not, I go on a run or ruck. I used to do a 14 mile run every weekend, but since I moved, I usually stick to the 8 or 10 mile route. I recently bought a GoRuck weight vest and have been doing the 8 mile route with 40 lbs. My time is about 90 minutes running/walking.
I would like to get back into practicing archery, but it’s hard when I already gave up three workouts/runs per week to do jiu jitsu. I intend to start doing the 3D archery course again with my 40 lb vest to turn it into a workout. The course is 30 targets over about 3 miles through the woods.
I went on vacation last week, and I ate and drank way too much every day. But I actually weighed less when I got back because I worked out pretty hard every day. The resort had a great gym. Then we did a 12 mile in-and-out hike with 4800 feet of elevation gain, and another hike that was only about 5.5 miles but with my almost 3 year old in a backpack carrier.
