Kaas City
Dromund Kaas. A planet with a predisposition to the Dark Side. A planet with a history as Dark as a Sith Warriors heart. A planet that had been tied to the Sith for eons. A planet now being reclaimed. Several weeks ago the Sith Council had approved an expansion towards this planet which meant the capitol of Kaas City was once again buzzing with actvitity. Ships came too the planets surface on a near routine schedule delivering ample supplies, civilian workers, and of course Sith. The Council’s plan for this planet meant there had to be a stable representation on the surface and that was what Ramiel Daniels had been working towards.

Living on Dromund Kaas for several months, Ramiel had been planting the seeds for the eventual Sith expansion onto the planet. By having a Sith Lord among their population meant those that had already been living here expected the arrival of the rest of the Empire soon. Now it was finally happening. The Sith Lord had reopened the old Kass City’s Largest Citadel. A structure in the heart of the planet was the home to three Ministries which would serve the Sith Empire well; War, Intelligence, and Logistics. Having all three working within close proximity made sense. As small of a delay in relaying and storing information would be crucial for them.

Right now all three worked together on the development of Dromund Kaas’s planetary ship yard. The construction of the metal ring around the planet which would build, store, and repair the new Navy needed to be their complete focus which they were doing well. The Sith and civilian population that arrived planet side were split for one of two tasks; assisting the ship yards construction or assisting the build up and security of the Capital and then to expand to the Great Dark Temple.

Dromund Kaas was not a safe world. The planet was still full of various threats whether it be local wildlife, traps still laying about from SIth of the past, and even insurrectionists whom had decided they did not like the Sith taking back the planet. This was what Ramiel had decided to do. His goal was to weed out these extremists which had stationed themselves in Kaas City and around the planet. Taking up one of the positions of Magistrate meant that Ramiel was free to become quite literally judge, jury, and executioner. Any threat towards the Empire or the Council would be dealt with under Ramiels supervision, if not led by him directly. A known protector and guardian, serving on Dromund Kaas and establishing the Councils Rule of Law appealed greatly to him.

Sitting within his office, Ramiel slid a file into a nearby cabinet with some random name written on its tag. On the outside of the folder read a bright red stamp DEACEASED. Turning towards the door a Sith Knight walked in to catch the Lord’s attention.

“MiLord.”

“Yes?”

“Update on the arrivals. The split between planetary and fleet support continues without issue. More Sith are arriving from Dromund Kaas by the hour; along with then we have seen a sudden influx of skilled engineers, metallurgists, and naval experts.”

“They were sent to the ring?”

“Yes Sir. I thought you should know.”

“What about the businesses? Bars, stores, markets?”

“They are opening as soon as the loans are approved and the supplies needed are handed over. So far no issue. The local economy should become self-sufficinent within three months or so.” The Knight explained.

“Good. Get an update on the insurgency group. I want a list of names in Kaas City by the end of the hour. I don’t care if it’s confirmed or not. We will sort out who is and is not a part of them after the round up.” Ramiel ordered.

He sat back down in his seat, straitening his vest and adjusting his tie to ensure continued formal representation. One of the worst things for Ramiel was appearing disheveled. It was unbecoming of a Lord, of a Daniels, of himself personally. Once done he gave his attention to his computer's monitor while pulling up the schematics of the Citadel.

“Yes MiLord.”

“One more thing.”

“MiLord?”

“When the Lords begin arriving extend them complete hospitality. Ensure they are all shown to an office within the Citadel. Once that is done, do the same for our Knights. If they choose not to use it, so be it, but make sure the offer to every Sith Lord and Knight is offered.”

“Yes MiLord.”

It had not been long ago when with the doors open and the turning of a new chapter in Dromund Kass pique his interest. That like a few others he too felt tempted to descend upon its lands....though much of it was kept under cloak anonymity for the most part as truth be told. He had no less feuded as much fought against as much with some those that now hold sway over the planet. Despite it being feel but a lifetime ago....and he eventually let but chosen few learn his presence thought not so much his intention.

As he takes for himself a small patch on this planet where he alone could be .....able test out few things learn now that he was freed of the lights sway or influence. And perhaps learn or speak with new face governing.....calling himself @Ramiel Daniels .

Otoh Gunga

Danster hurled himself into a chair in his Otoh Gungan quarters and squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to meditate the away the frustration and anger that threatened to well up inside of him. He had just returned from the Temple where he had been involved in a protracted debate on whether it would be prudent to attack the Sith on their home planet of Korriban in revenge for their assault on Theed. Admittedly, attack and revenge were not the precise words used by those Jedi in favour of such a move but it all amounted to the same thing. Having calmed his agitated state, he opened his eyes.

"A retributive assault by the Jedi. What is my Order becoming?"

He was shaken from his contemplative state by an emergency alert emanating from his confidential comm link. He seized from his desk through the air with the force and activated the message.

"This is an urgent message for all Masters of the Order. Confirmed intelligence from a local insurgency group suggests that a Sith invasion of Dromund Kaas is imminent. Military assistance is to be scrambled at the earliest available opportunity."

The message concluded with a series of digits and code words to confirm the veracity of its source. Danster leapt to his feet, clipped his lightsaber to his belt and began to sprint to the Bongo Sub Bays from where he could board his vessel and commence his journey back to Theed through the core.

Theed

Having docked his Bongo nearby, the Gungan made haste toward the Temple. The hangars were buzzing with activity; Danster ran to a datapoint and keyed in his presence, alerting the rest of the Jedi that he was primed and ready to head to Dromund Kaas in his personal YT-2400 shuttle. He would wait five minutes in case any other Jedi need quick passage to the potential arena of combat and then he would depart.

Naboo - Danster

The message regarding Dromund Kaas played over the comm within Hawk's office, and he sighed.
As much as it was necessary to have dissenting voices within the council, Hawk would have thought that preventing the Sith's return to a position of power within the galaxy would have been something they could all have agreed upon. As rare as it was however, he would have thought wrong.
Despite the Sith's attack on Naboo and the theft of a Sith holocron from their own archives, there were still a number of Jedi unwilling to subscribe to the idea that the Sith were once more a growing threat within the galaxy. They were happy to sit back and do nothing and no doubt not act until things were too late.
Hawk had tried to convince the most stubborn of these traditionalist stalwarts that it was imperative to go after the stolen holocron and not allow the Sith behind its theft to appear successful and therefore solidify his power. Whilst fractured and leaderless the Sith were a mere annoyance, but united they were a threat to everything that the Jedi had fought so hard to build over the past couple of decades.
And now this. The Sith were moving on Dromund Kaas. Could there be any clearer sign of a growing Sith threat in the galaxy? How much longer would the proponents of inaction bury their heads in the sand?

"What do you mean its on the schedule for service and refit?" Hawk demanded of the rather flustered engineer once he had made it to the hangar.

"I'm sorry Master Hinata, but all vessels have to undergo service and refit...its the health and safety regulations."

"I don't think you quite understand the gravity of the situation. I need my ship, the Sith are moving on Dromund Kaas as we speak."

"If it was assembled I'd let you..."

"If it were assembled!" Hawk cut across the man. "I don't have the time right now, but we will discuss this when I return. What ships are available?"

"Well, if you're in a hurry Master Bokoto is prepping for departure just over there," he pointed before quickly departing.

"Force help me," Hawk grumbled to himself as he made his way over to Danster's ship. "If I have to listen to another of his 'Grandmaster Yoda' anecdotes I swear I'll demote him to Padawan." The thought made him smile as he stepped aboard the ship

Looking over the intelligence reports that had been coming from the joint efforts of Jedi and Republic spies that had been coming from Dromund Kaas, it was obvious the Sith were preparing for war. The attack on Naboo had been nothing but a scuffle compared to the strength they would be able to amass if they succeeded in establishing a ship yard ring around the planet. The Jedi and Republic weren't yet in a position to be complacent. They would have to act now and remove or at least slow down the Sith war machine.

The Republic had made vague promises of support to any actions the Jedi decided upon, but nothing was concrete and the Jedi had decided that they would act without waiting for the full accounting of Republic support. No they wouod have to make due with the ships and personnel they had at hand. Naboo would be left well defended by the local militia and the Gungan army which meant the Jedi could attack without worry of the enemy attacking from behind.

When the announcement was made the Temple erupted into a mass of activities as everyone prepared for the attack. As Marck left the Council Chambers to join the preparations he could feel the energy of the Temple had shifted. No one here wanted to go to war, especially as the aggressor, it was not the Jedi way. The situation however demanded action and removing the ship yards and slowing the Sith was the least aggressive action they could take.

Normally Marck would have prefered to take his own ship on a mission, but this wasn't a typical mission. While his vessel was equipt with weapons and R4 could handle a dog fight, Marck was needed as part of one the landing parties, so it was better his vessel stay behind. Instead he decided to join Master Bokoto at his shuttle.

"Hope you don't mind me join in you Master Bokoto," Marck said as he approached the vessel. "I could use the ride to Dromund Kaas, I'm not the best pilot."

Kaas City

The trip hadn't taken too long, and in the mean time he'd been allowed to close his eyes for a while as his trusted crew monitored the ship's trip to Dromund Kaas from Zeltros where he'd been working that past two weeks nonstop. In his seemingly endless work he had been further securing the necessary finances for this most recent endeavor upon Dromund Kaas that had been headed up by Lord Daniels, who from what he could recall had offered the idea of expansion to the planet that had been unanimously agreed upon by the council. As much work as it had been to secure the funding for this project in recent weeks, it would most certainly be worth it in the long run to have a secondary base of operation for the Sith while also establishing another mass form of income for their Council apart from Zeltros.

For too long they had been dipping into the admittedly deep pocket that had been the bright pink jewel in the galaxy upon which Christian himself had erected many casinos and resorts. Beyond that he'd even managed to maintain a few controlled political connections who served his hidden agenda without hesitation for fear of gaining his disappointment in them, which was not only to his benefit, but the benefit of the greater Sith collective. Everyone of note in the political system of Zeltros and it's neighboring planets knew precisely who he was and what he was capable of, and none were interested in garnering his wrath for failing to meet his expectations. Now that his work had been completed, though, the next venues of income they would be exploring were those of trade and industry, both of which would be accommodated by their acquisition of Dromund Kaas and the construction of the shipyards that would surround it. A plan that Christian himself had been rather impressed with once the Council had been afforded the time to accumulate their desired approach in the plot to reclaim it behind Lord Daniels initial expression of interest in the planet.

It was all coming together now, which was evident to him as he awoke to see the many moving, shifting and connecting structures while countless signal lights flashed and flickered along the massive, metal ring that was being constructed by an army of droids and construction ships piloted by their engineers. It had been only weeks under construction, yet the core of the structure had already been completed, yet still so much more work needed to be done, and would continue to be done until the shipyards were fully functional. For now, though, it was at least self sufficient in it's own construction as it's sources of power and security systems had come online and were fully operational. A few weeks more and it would be putting together Sith vessels the likes of which the Jedi hadn't ever seen before, which was precisely what their order needed in order to have life breathed back into it.

Warriors needed the necessary tools of war in order to survive in a galaxy so vast, and Dromund Kaas would be a source of power for the Sith like no other planet had been before it. Alluring to the Sith in it's proclivity for the dark side of the force, yet stable and more than strong enough to support a shipyard that would elevate it's worth to the Sith beyond what it had ever been. It would be their new pride and joy in the galaxy, and in the end it would be financial relief for Zeltros as well. A plan that Christian himself favored for more reasons than one, but that most recently considered far more than any. It, in fact, was precisely the reason that Chrisitan had finally taken some time off to come and visit the planet and see it's development for his own eyes, even though he did not doubt that his donations to the project had not been squandered by Daniels or the others that had been made responsible for it. The man simply wasn't the type to disappoint.

When Christian's ship had landed and the engines had begun to cool the platform lowered from the belly of his streamlined transport vessel and touched down to the duracrete platform below. As it did, though, the Sith Lord had already been halfway down the platform until it lurched to a halt, though his balance hadn't been effected at all by the slight jolt. Instead he followed through with his long, powerful strides as his thumbs slipped beneath the edges of his suit vest which was tugged to allow for his shoulders to adjust. As he reached the base of the platform he was immediately greeted by an aspiring young Knight who's expression appeared to be a bit rattled, likely because he was unnerved by the sight of the man.

"My Lord. Welc-oh.", he'd started to welcome the Sith Lord to the planet, but when Christian made it to the sturdy planet beneath his ship he took a form footing and bore down on the young Knight with those burning amber orbs and sought to peer into his soul for but a moment. A moment of intense glare that immediately set the younger man on his heels, which to the Lord was nothing more than a sign of weakness. Beyond that he could sense a certain lack of determination and pride in himself, which did not bode well for his opinion of the Sith who'd been assigned to receive him. "Weak...", Christian thought to himself as his voice echoed as but a whisper in the depths of his mind, but he didn't insult the young man with voicing that opinion out loud because it wouldn't do him any good. It wouldn't change him. If he wished not to be weak he would change himself, for it would take pain and struggle to make himself something that he was not. Words would do him no good, especially when delivered by someone who did not find you to be particularly impressive.

"I'll find my own way.", the Lord advised the young man, who's practically trembling shoulders relaxed a bit so that he could nod in respect and turn to slink away. He knew right where Daniels had been before he'd even stepped out of his ship, after all, for his force signature had not been one forgotten by the young and vehement Draclau. And so he set his feet in the direction of the man's office, his long strides carrying him towards the building within the city that his office was located in. A trip that didn't take too long, all things considered, and when he arrived he raised a single knuckle to thumb against the frame of the door thrice before he raised the opposite hand and flicked the metal sliding door open with a brush of the force.

"Lord Daniels.", his deep, almost velvet smooth voice whispered as he stood, tall in stature and taking up most of the frame while his head was slightly leaned to one side making sure not to bump the upper edge of it. "I see that my donations to this project's funding haven't gone to waste."

Danster's TC droid stood scanning several screens simultaneously when Marck Vallen strode up the gangway and announced his presence.

"Good to have you aboard, Master Vallen, from the reports we're going to need all the help we can get. Make yourself comfortable, TC-10 and I can handle the shuttle until we're in hyperspace."

As he spoke, TC-10's eyes brightened as they landed on a surveillance screen.

"Erm, Master Bokoto, Master Hinata appears to be approaching the shuttle. Do you want me to close the gangway?"

Danster shot his droid a chastising glance for speaking in such a way in company.

"Don't be stupid TC-10. Like I said, we need all the help we can get."

I just hope the gangway is wide enough for his head to fit through.

He forced his flippancy to the back of him mind as the Grandmaster of the Council stepped aboard.

"Welcome aboard, Master Hinata. I shall join you both once we've made the jump to lightspeed."

He strode into the cockpit followed by TC-10 where the pair launched the shuttle and pointed it skyward. The droid had already keyed in the necessary co-ordinates for their trajectory to Dromund Kaas so it was only a few moments after bursting through the Noobian stratosphere that the Gungan plunged forwards a lever that turned the starry scene outside the cockpit window into a blue and gray blur. He nodded at TC-10, the droid understanding that this instruction meant that he was now in charge of the vessel, and returned to the lounge area behind the cockpit.

"I'd challenge you to a game of Dejarik but it's not working. The Grimtaash keep disappearing and reappearing at random whilst the Kintan Strider constantly tries to jump off the board."

Enroute to Dromund Kaas - Danster Marck

Hawk nodded to Danster and went to join Marck. The Gungan's ship was not too dissimilar to his own, though of course the personal affects were different. It was perhaps a good thing to travel alongside the pair; for whilst it was no bad thing for a well respected and senior member of the Order and the Grandmaster to be so opposed in open debate, it felt that perhaps their disagreements had gone beyond that. There was nothing like an extremely dangerous situation to help highlight some common ground however, and Hawk would not allow the hubris of either of them to create a rift between the Jedi...especially now as their unity was so crucial.

"Dejarik was never really my game anyway, though I could have my droid take a look at the programme when we return if you like?" Hawk commented as Danster joined them. "I don't suppose you have any tea on board?" He asked.
