Solar eclipse in our part of the world today. The far Northwestern corner of Pennsylvania did have a complete blackout. Here, a few hundred miles further west I guess we were somewhere in the mid 90 percent range. It got dark enough for the street lights to come on. But it was already a very cloudy day with no chance at all of seeing the sun,
That sucks. I remember when we had a total eclipse in the UK, my family went on holiday because there were amazing deals to be had as no one wanted to leave the country! Ended up getting about a 60% eclipse in Cyprus, so I've never seen one either.
Here in the Netherlands it's a but grey with a threat of rain. Meany to warm up later in our holiday.
^Days like that can be very pleasant.... as long as they come in the summer. This time of year they're pretty annoying.
Thunder and lightening woke me up during the middle of the night. It was still raining when I was ready to get up this morning, but I found a dry window to get in a few miles. Right now it looks like rain is moving in once again.
Cold and wet again as it has been for a good week now. I'm using it as an excuse for my lack of running. Tomorrow I'm going to get back on it properly, cut back on the booze and snacks and start getting back to my 20km + running weeks. If my knee is still getting sore then I'll hit the bike instead, or try out new trainers. I'm on holiday on 22nd May and I want to be in top condition by then.
