After watching these two I must admit to feeling pretty disappointed. They weren't awful, I enjoyed them, but my first impression was that they did not live up to the expectations created by the awesome Mandalorian Seasons 1 & 2.
However, I've just rewatched them as my 11 year old son has developed a major Star Wars interest and I want to cultivate it. I have to say, I was deeply wrong about Book of Boba Fett; on second viewing I think it was fantastic. Yes, I get they were a bit lazy by dedicating a whole episode and some on non Boba Fett character arcs (the cynic in me believes this was to force the Mandalorian fans to have to watch it) but I still think it was fantastic viewing, and the finale was proper Rocky-style viewing, it made you clench your fists and throw punches with the action.
Likewise, on first viewing of Mandalorian Season 3 I was like, "Meh, nowhere near as good as the first two". On second viewing, I still don't think it lives up to the first two seasons, but it was still a bloody good watch.
